THIS WALK IS BEING LED FOR THOSE ON THE NORTH WALES BREAK AND IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THERE IS NO NEED TO RSVP AND NO WALK FEE IS PAYABLE.

The walk starts from behind our hotel. That’s the good news…….as we embark on a steep climb up to the top of t’hill. However, there are several benches at various points en route in addition to signs encouraging you to keep going! Once we have reached the top of the solid path, the rest of the walk is plain sailing and its certainly worth the exertion for what awaits us.

A short section along a forestry track and at the very last moment, the lake comes into view. We then embark on a route around the lake with various vista’s to delight the senses before we make a turn to head back along another forestry track, a bit of woodland and then yet another forestry track brings us back to the top of that steep hill and our descent back to the hotel.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
