York's Georgian riverside trail - 2.5 mile narrated walk

This walk will take a maximum of 90mins to complete and it comes with your own personal tour guide - me!! As we head downstream alongside the river Ouse, I will be stopping at various features along the way and telling you a little bit about them. Having crossed Millenium Bridge, we then commence our return leg upstream before finishing at Lendal Bridge. So, if you would like an easy, flat walk with a difference, this is the one!

We will meet outside The Lowther pub, a mere stone’s throw from the Kings Arms ( the pub that gets repeatedly flooded), located on Kings Staith, not far from the steps leading down from Ouse Bridge. The postcode is YO1 9SW.

After-walk refreshment at a nearby pub - there's lots to choose from!

Walk fee: £2. No dogs please. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
