By Canal & River from Calverley Bridge (Leeds) - 4 miles

A pleasant, evening stroll alongside the river Aire, venturing into lower Horsforth before crossing the river and returning via the canal towpath alongside the Leeds & Liverpool canal. A walk that showcases the rural side of Leeds.

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £2. No dogs please.

Start location: parking area on the sliproad at the side of Calverley Bridge on the Leeds Ring Road. The start point is located between Horsforth & Rodley/Calverley, a stone’s throw from the roundabout where the A657 crosses the RR.

* Alternative parking available on Calverley Lane, the next road up on the same side of the ring road.

Postcode of the nearby Railway Inn is LS13 1NR and it would be 'rude' not to patronise the pub afterwards!!

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times.
