Xmas Meal at the Cosy Club, York

A return to last year’s venue in York, this is purely a social occasion, no walking involved, so you can don your Xmas attire, if you wish!

Meet at 12 noon for pre-dinner drink, the meal has been booked for 12.30pm.

Cosy Club, 19-22 Fossgate, York, YO1 9TA.

Event Eligibility
This event is open to anyone who has paid their £10 annual membership fee. There is no charge for the event.

RSVPs/Deposit payment deadlines
You have until August 12th to RSVP, in order to be considered for the initial allocation of places.
Places will be allocated on August 13th.
Deposit payments are required no later than August 22nd.

If the event becomes over-subscribed, places will be awarded based on the number of walks attended this year, also taking into account how many walks new members have attended during the time they have been in the Group.

You are welcome to RSVP for both Christmas events but I will endeavour to ensure that as many different people as possible can attend at least one of the events.

PLEASE NOTE: When you RSVP, you will initially be diverted to a Waiting List pending allocation of the available places. Therefore, up until the August deadline, the event will say ‘full’ even though no places will have been allocated.

The Meal
We have been allocated an area on the top floor with its own bar and toilets nearby.

Cosy Club don’t do the traditional Xmas meal but provide their own Christmas pie which quite a few of us opted for last year. The starters are sharing platters which, according to the vast majority who attended last year, worked well.

Two courses will cost £37.50 comprising of sharing platters for starters then a main course. On the day, you will have the option of ordering a dessert, which would take the total cost up to £43.95.

No pre-orders required.

Dietary requirements can be catered for.

Deposits: £10pp. Account details will be provided once places have
been allocated.

Seating plans
Once you have been allocated a place, please feel free to message me with requests as to who you would like to sit by.

Cancellations
Once your deposit has been sent to the venue, you will only be refunded if there is a waiting list and someone can take your place.

Final balance payments/Drink purchases
Aside from deposit payments, the remainder of your bill should be settled on the day on an individual basis.

Please pay for your pre-meal drink at the time of purchase.
