Leeds Briggate Historic Trail - 3 miles
Details
NEW WALK!! Join me for a walk around the Briggate area of Leeds city centre as we embark on a route along ginnels, through courtyards & arcades whilst being given a history lesson!
The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.
Walk fee: £2. No dogs please.
Start point: Meet outside The Adelphi pub (a few yards south from Leeds Bridge) at 3-5 Hunslet Road, LS10 1JQ.
Parking: three hours free parking at the Crown Point Retail Park, Junction Street, LS10 1ET.
Directions: from the car park, turn left and head down the road to the traffic lights. Cross the road (turning right) and head up the road until you see The Adelphi on your right-hand side, set back from the road. Allow 10mins to walk.
After-walk refreshment/lunch at the afore-mentioned pub although you’re free to head back up into the city centre if you prefer! Or Queen’s Court (Briggate) if open?
I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
