NEW WALK!! Dunnington is situated just a couple of miles east of the A64 from the junction with both the A166/A1079.

This is a flat walk starting from the centre of Dunnington village using pavements, roads, grassy tracks, field crossings & woodland trails.

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £2. No dogs please. Bring snacks/drink for a short morning break.

Start point: village centre (where there is a crossroads and a short stone memorial in the middle of the road). We will meet in front of the Cross Keys pub - see photo. Roadside parking along various roads from here. Car sharing recommended so you don’t have to park too far away from the start point! Postcode (of the local pub) is YO19 5NG.

After-walk refreshment: The Cross Keys pub re-opened in December and when I recce’d this walk (6/2), they were hoping to have a chef in place within a couple of weeks. There is also a tearoom with a reasonable number of covers but it was full at 12.30pm on a Friday lunch-time.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be aware of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
