NEW WALK!! An easy, pleasant stroll in a quiet corner of the Howardian Hills with one undemanding climb as we make our way through the villages of Low Hutton & High Hutton, woodland trails, fields with lovely vista’s, the river Derwent, a look inside the local church & a swing bridge! No stiles!!

Huttons Ambo is the name of the parish encompassing the two Hutton villages and is located immediately off the A64 a few minutes north of the Welburn turn-off.

The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.

Walk fee: £2. No dogs please. Bring snacks/drink for a short morning break.

Start point: meet on the village green in Low Hutton. Please park considerately on the village streets. Car sharing highly recommended to reduce our impact on this small community. Postcode (of the nearby village hall) is YO60 7HE.

No after-walk refreshment options in the village so, if there is sufficient interest, we will decamp to nearby Welburn and patronise the nice tearoom there.

I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
