A Walk with a Pub Lunch Stop!! 7 miles
Details
NEW WALK!! Today’s walk starts from the picturesque village of Sinnington, located moments off the A170, four miles from Pickering.
The walk links the villages of Sinnington, Cropton & Appleton-le-Moors and makes extensive use of woodland trails along with quiet road walking, countryside tracks & a final section along the river Seven. Some lovely properties in the villages we visit too! One long, steady (not steep) climb up a surfaced road.
A pleasant, undemanding route with a lunch stop at The Moors Inn at Appleton. I have made a reservation for 20 people and will assume everyone would like a lunch place. Therefore places on this walk will be limited to ensure the lunch booking doesn’t get too big.
With this in mind, places are only available to Group members who have paid their annual membership fee so no guests permitted.
The walk will be led at a steady pace: not too fast, not too slow. Please be ready to start walking at the advertised time.
Walk fee: £3. No dogs please. Bring snacks/drink for a short morning break.
Parking/Meeting point: Meet on the village green near the Village Hall (see photo). If there is no event on at the village hall, you can make use of the limited parking places available. Otherwise its roadside parking around the village so car sharing recommended for this one. Postcode of the Village Hall is YO62 6SA.
If peeps would like to stay for after-walk refreshment, the village pub in Sinnington has a car park around to the rear.
I have no formal walk leader or first-aid qualifications and the Group does not have insurance. When you RSVP for any walk, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. You are required to respect the walk leader and be mindful of the safety of others. Please keep to the pace of the group and don’t go off ahead even if you think you know the route.
