HIKE Elk Meadow Friday, Nov. 6, 10am-2pm

....and this beautiful fall weather continues!!!
Let's hike at Elk Meadow Park in Evergreen! We'll meet at the Lewis Ridge Trailhead parking lot at 10:00 and start hiking by 10:10. (Please arrive earlier than 10:00 if you might need more time to prepare/use the restroom.)

Our plan is to do a 4-mile loop incorporating these trails:
Painter's Pause
Founders
Meadow View
Sleepy S

Plan on a very leisurely, social pace. We'll take plenty of breaks to enjoy the surroundings and each other's company (and of course, take photos :) We'll look for a good place about halfway through the hike to take a longer break for a snack etc.

🚴🏽THURSDAY Nov 12 🚴‍♀️BIKE Clear Creek Trail West & Lunch/ Snack at Cafe 13

Meet at Anderson Park: 9:45am
Start Riding: 10:00am
Round Trip: 23 miles
Anticipated average speed: 10-12 mph

Both E-bikes and traditional bikes are welcome

Let’s Ride WEST on the CLEAR CREEK TRAIL, starting at Anderson Park, going through Golden, and riding all the way to the end of the trail in Clear Creek Canyon (CCR Trailhead). The canyon part is absolutely beautiful!!

We will have a good amount of climbing to do as we ride west, but it will be a nice downhill on the way back. Please note that the speeds will very greatly because we may be riding as slowly as 5 mph up the steepest part, and we may be coasting 15 mph down that part on the return. We will stop to regroup as often as we need to, because this is a no drop ride— as all our rides are. And we will stop for a longer break at the CCR trailhead near our turn around point, where there’s a restroom. Great photo opportunities as we ride the ~3 miles up the canyon!!

On the way back, we’ll stop for lunch / snack at Cafe 13, before we finish the ride. Be sure to bring a lock if you want to lock up your bike.. We’re planning to eat on the patio where we can view our bikes the whole time.

Meeting Point: Driving to meeting place: When you turn off of 44th Ave, follow the road all the way to the parking lot at the end.
