These hikes have been great - beautiful scenery and time to chat as we get those steps in!
Let's hike at Pine Valley Ranch in Pine. We'll meet at the lowest parking lot, near the covered picnic area.
❎* PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MAP INCLUDED HERE MAY NOT HAVE THE CORRECT LOCATION; I keep changing it, but it keeps changing back to Elk Meadow. Ugh. So, make sure you use the address listed to get correct directions:
30351 Crystal Lake Rd
This is an EASY hike with very little elevation change. We’ll walk along the Narrow Gauge Trail, an out & back trail, total 4.3 miles, 121’ elevation change. The North Fork of the South Platte River runs parallel to our trail. Plan on a very leisurely, social pace.
Afterward, we’ll grab our sack lunches from our cars and eat lunch together at one of the many picnic tables.
**CARPOOLING OPTION - 9:00
This is a bit farther drive, so I encourage carpooling (save gas, have more time to chat😊). I’d be happy to take up to 6 people in my minivan; I just need to know ahead of time. Please comment in the event chat above if you’re interested in carpooling. We would meet at 9:00am at the Morrison Park-n-Ride, 3485 S Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO 80465. This is a dirt parking lot across from a Phillips 66 gas station, near the intersection of C470 & Morrison Rd. (Watch for holes & ruts.)
