YEP is excited to announce that its 2018 Annual Anniversary Gala will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

The theme for this year gala is "The power of change: Building Tomorrow Through Innovation, Creativity and Leadership." and will feature notable community figures and influencers, entertainment, dinner and range of activities hosting over 300 diverse professionals.

Our line of Speakers include:

Dr Mehret Debebe (Keynote Speaker) - a board certified psychiatrist and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, an author, and motivational speaker.

Dr Senait Fisseha (Speaker) - Director of International Programs for the Susan Thompson Buffet Foundation and Clinical Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical School.

Kenna Zemedkun (Speaker) - an Ethiopian–American musician, philanthropist and technology creative. His track "Say Goodbye to Love" was nominated for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in the 2009 Grammy Awards. Kenna is the founder and producer of the Summit on the Summit clean water initiative, and also partnered with Justin Timberlake to re-launch Myspace.

Bofta Yimam (master of Ceremony) - Emmy Award-Winning Journalist, Former TV Anchor, Speaker & Master Storytelling Coach.

We will also have traditional Ethiopian Music and food.

Parking
There is a parking garage located at the USPTO for $5 for the whole duration of the event.

Proceeds from the 8th Year Anniversary Celebration Gala will go directly to support YEPs mission of supporting newcomers, providing mentoring to high school and college students, creating a platform for professionals to connect.

By taking part in this event you grant YEP full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images that is taken by YEP and/or media that are invited by YEP for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the YEPs aims. This might include but is not limited to, the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
