This will be a spectacular walk from Torquay via Bells Beach to Point Roadknight near Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road. It follows a spectacular stretch of coastline that includes wild open beaches, massive cliffs, colourful rock platforms and some interesting coastal woodland and heathland.
After meeting near Torquay, we’ll proceed along the coast, passing features such as Bells Beach, Jarosite Headland and Addiscott Bay. We’ll then reach the spectacular cliffs and protected cove at Point Addis, which will serve as our lunch spot. For those interested, they’ll be an opportunity to have a swim during our lunch break.
After lunch, we’ll cross Point Addis and continue walking along a wild beach on the western side of the point to Red Rocks Point, named for its dark red –coloured rocks. The remainder of our hike continues along clifftops all the way to Point Roadknight, from which we’ll catch a bus back to our starting point.
