This will be an interesting beach walk featuring the diverse coastal scenery of the Bellarine Peninsula from Queenscliff across to the beautiful surf beach at Ocean Grove via Point Lonsdale.

After starting the walk and exploring the historic township of Queenscliff and walking past historic Fort Queenscliff, our hike follows a section of coastline facing The Rip and Point Nepean on the Mornington Peninsula. The Rip is the narrow entrance to Point Phillip Bay.

At Point Lonsdale, the contrast between the calm waters of the bay and the wildness of the ocean beach facing Bass Strait can be appreciated. There are spectacular cliffs, rockpools, caves and views to explore at this location.

Our next section of the hike follows the long stretch of pristine ocean beach right up to Ocean Grove. If time permits, we'll have a coffee and snack at a cafe in Ocean Grove before getting a bus back to our starting point in Queenscliff.
