What we’re about
This book club is designed for women who love to read, chat, and drink wine. Also, we are about making genuine connections and friendships. This will be a social book club--meetings will likely begin with conversations about the book but will eventually devolve (or evolve?) into just general chatting. This group is mostly comprised of women in their late-20s, 30s, and early-40s, though all women are welcome.
Since many of us live on the north/northwest side of Chicago, many of our events occur in this area. However, we also have events throughout the city as opportunities arise.
We meet once monthly to discuss a book of everyone's choosing and we host additional meetups throughout each month that are not book-related (like happy hours, trivia nights, game nights, etc.). Please let Amber know if you have something specific you'd like to host or suggest.

We have dues of $10 per year. These are strictly to cover the cost of the Meetup membership ($179/6 months for a group of this size), as Meetup charges organizers to host a group. Everyone starts with a 30-day free trial to see if you like the group so no pressure to pay the dues up front!

Book Club Inclusivity Statement
Our book club is committed to embracing diversity and equity and to ensuring that all of our gatherings are welcoming to all and free from discriminatory, harassing or otherwise unacceptable behavior. Discrimination or harassment based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientations, disability, gender identity or expressions, or any other characteristic protected by law will not be tolerated. Our book club is composed of members who have a vast range of experiences and interests. Diversity in the topics and genres of books read is encouraged. Our goal is to promote an anti-discriminatory environment where everyone feels safe to share their perspectives, discuss books they’ve read and be their authentic selves. If you experience any discriminatory, harassing or otherwise unacceptable behavior, please tell Amber Price or Cherie Yang to report the incident. Thank you for your commitment to ensuring a positive event for all.
