Coffee Talk: How Self Care Helps Health Care
Details
The recent news that Canada has Obesity rates going up from 1 in 4 to 1 in 3 in about four years must be concerning to us us all because our healthcare sector is already buckling.
Let's discuss how we help reduce the burden on our healthcare so that when we truly need it we find resources available.
Often obesity leads to many complications including diabetes Type 2, which leads to serious losses in our capacity to live purposeful lives. I participate in diabetes.ca website just to show them that the symptoms (and risks) appear long before. Healthful food and physical playful activity goes a long way.
To stay in healthy state requires often no extra time and little money if any. It will be great to see how we are able to help Canada in these times of dire need. It seems it has helped me even in my eighties, with no medications, no special diets, and rare visits to my doctor.
Most of all meaningful connections help keep us safe from early death, depression, diabetes and dementia. Most health is in our hands!
