What we’re about
Meet other widows and widowers who are moving forward with their children*. As a recent Widower with four daughters in their teens and 20s, I found my circle of friends was all married families, who I struggled to relate after my wife's death. This group aims to foster connections between parents and children. This is not a grief group or therapy but rather a venue to reconnect and engage socially with others who have had similar experiences.
I intended to schedule a couple of events per month. One restaurant and one outdoor event. Both are designed to be friendly for school-age children.
* (Required Statement from Meetup) Meetup members and organizers need to be at least 18 years old. While family groups are more than welcome on Meetup, anyone under the age of 18 attending an event must be accompanied by an adult.
