When adopting agile ways of working, a lot of organizations and teams end up focusing exclusively on the delivery of features. While this can lead to good things like technical excellence and a general focus on "building the thing right", it can often mean that discovery, i.e. making sure we are "building the right thing," is neglected. What is clear is that we need to pay attention to both discovery and delivery equally. The question is how to do this in practice - this is what we are going to explore in this session. In particular, we'll look at how to turn vague, unrefined and invalidated product ideas into understood and concrete backlog items ready to be implemented.
