What we’re about
Our Meetup group formed from attending a monthly Young Spouse/Partner Loss support group that meets through the HeartLight Center. Most of us have met through that group over the past year or two and found it beneficial to get together both in a support group as well as out socially.
We will use this for coordinating events - whether it be reminders of the monthly meetings at HeartLight/Highlands Church or an evening outing.
This group is setup so anyone in our group can organize and post something, if they want to. So far, we've done happy hour, a backyard bbq, bingo night, brunch, dinner and games at Punch Bowl Social and Blake St Tavern, Friendsgiving Potluck and a Christmas Party.
We support each other and it’s really an amazing group where we can all lean on one another.
We encourage you to join us! It doesn't matter where you are in your grief.
The category of "young" is used to describe a place in life where you may be raising children and/or building your career, typically 45 and under, as opposed to empty-nesters and retirees.
