As the Holiday Season draws closer, it’s all about tradition and enjoying the company of those around you. As a software tester in Vancouver, what better way to do this than to come out to our December yvrTesting Meetup? Speed Geeking is now officially an annual yvrTesting tradition and we’d love to see you there!

What is Speed Geeking? It’s an exciting way to exchange ideas with your peers about topics in QA and testing, while relaxing after work in a casual atmosphere.

Before we begin, we will break into small groups and each group will be given a topic to discuss with an assigned facilitator. After 15 minutes, the groups will switch, giving everyone 5 minutes to join their next group and discuss a new topic for another 15 minutes.

Hiring Testers with Michael Dunn, Senior QA at Sophos

Behaviour Driven Development with Stuart Ashman, QA Director at Vision Critical

Agile Testing with Mike Hrycyk, Director of Quality at PQA Testing Ltd.

In addition to Speed Geeking, Christin Wiedemann (Co-Founder of yvrTesting, Co-CEO and Chief Scientist at PQA Testing Ltd.) and Stuart Ashman (QA Director at Vision Critical) will be hosting our first ever yvrTesting Test Clinic. After the success of the Test Clinic at EuroSTAR 2016, Christin wanted to bring the great experience to Vancouver with her. Before and after the Speed Geeking session, you’ll be able to ask Christin and Stuart for resources to learn more about topics that you’re interested in or real world advice on how to overcome testing challenges.
