yvrTesting - Postman 11 - What's new and beautiful

Details

It's time for a new season of yvrTesting meetup! Happy September, I hope you're all ready for the rainy times. Join us for an evening of insightful discussions on testing, networking with like-minded professionals, and discovering new testing strategies—all in a fantastic venue that sets the perfect backdrop.

This month, we're thrilled to welcome back Afshin as our distinguished speaker. Afshin spoke to us last year about FMEA and you might remember my teasers about his doing a talk around Postman 11.

Title: Postman 11 - What's new and beautiful
Postman has long been the stalwart, reliable, most popular tool for API testing. Most of you have used it in some way in your careers. Kind of like that warm and comfy old sweater, always there of you to snuggle up in. (OK, maybe my analogy is a bit of a stretch) Over the years, releases have improved its capabilities around API testing but many of us were waiting for it to do something new and innovative. Well, it is with a lot of excitement that we saw their release notes stating it now has extended support for DevOps, a new and innovative integration with AI, and specific support for performance testing. It sounds too good to be true. Afshin has done the work to find out the truth behind the claims and comes to us with a talk to walk through the new features and to do a short demo illustrating them.

Afshin's Bio:
Afshin Shahabi is a Software Engineer in Testing with over 22 years of experience across industries like insurance, banking, and CRM. With expertise in both manual and automation testing, SQL, app, and API testing, he has led teams and contributed to more than 50 projects. His diverse skill set and adaptability make him a valuable asset in delivering high-quality software.
