It's May! It's starting to get hot! What better time to congregate with your like-minded peers to have a chat about all things testing in air conditioned loveliness? Come on out and have a cerebral conversation about testing.

In a rare treat, Mike is not only going to be your host for the evening but he is also going to be your speaker. In a world that is changing so fast there is a lot of uncertainty. Mike has been noodling around with some thoughts for a while around the topic the idea of the continuing relevance of the QA professional. A lot of us are a little concerned about the people that are saying that AI is going to replace everyone tomorrow.

Quality is Not a Checklist! How a Tester Can Remain Relevant in a
World Driven by AI Conversations
Too many people think about testing as a mechanical operation where anybody can sit down, run some test cases and prove the acceptance flows are working and call the day done. It’s not that large of a jump to get from that kind of thinking to the idea that you could just backfill that task with AI. The role of the tester is so much more than this. AI absolutely has a place in testing and business but the value that a great QA can bring is undeniable. In this talk we’ll walk through some of the ways that testers are relevant and important in the testing world. We’ll also talk about some of the roles that testers best fit into an integrated AI existence. We’ll punctuate these lessons with real world examples of testers making a difference that AI isn’t ready to make.
