The Past, Present, and Future of Javascript by Ian Sutherland

Welcome back to YYC.js! The Javascript community certainly has boomed in Calgary since the last time we had the opportunity to get together.

What's been going on in the world of Javascript? New frameworks keep popping up, and the current ones change quickly. In this talk, we'll be discussing what's been going on and what's coming up in the Javascript future.

Ian works as a Principal Software Engineer at Neo Financial where they're building digital banking products for Canadians. He's the maintainer of Create React App and contributes to Node.js as part of the Tooling Working Group. He also works on a number of other open source projects, mostly in the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystems.
