VoxxedDays Banff

Details
Voxxed Days Banff is a two day conference for software developers (and others interested in current trends that our industry is going). It will be held at the inspiring Banff Centre on October 26th and 27th. Registration will open shortly, early bird rates are $250.00 for the two days. This includes all the conference proceedings, breakfast and lunch for both days. I've tried to keep the costs as low as possible to encourage as many people as possible to attend. We've also arranged for a conference rate to stay at the Banff Centre. $145.00 + $15.00 facility fee. This rate is available for three days before and three days after the conference.
Day 1 (Friday) will be a 'traditional' speaker presentation style day. There will be three rooms with sessions running concurrently in each of the rooms. Topics will include things like software architectures (Cloud Native, Microservice, CQRS, Event Sourcing etc.), software languages and technology trends. The call for papers/speakers will be opening soon and specific sessions will be known once all the available spots are filled. I have reached out to a number of "speaker" friends of mine and some are happy to come speak. Gerrit Grunwald and Mark Heckler are two familiar names to some of you that have met them over the past few years.
Day 2 (Saturday) will be an open spaces style day. Open spaces (also referred to as an unconference) is completely opposite to a traditional speaker/powerpoint/demo style of conference. In an open spaces style event, the participants pick the topics they want to discuss, find a break out room and have conversations. It's one of those kinds of experiences that you have to participate in to see what it's all about. Have a look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Space_Technology and http://wintertechforum.com/open-spaces/ for more details.
All the details for the conference can be found at http://voxxeddays.com/banff. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
