Kobold’s Digital Strategy using Microsoft’s Azure Stack and More

Just over 3 years ago Kobold started on a strategic digital transformation. This presentation will briefly look at the initial planning decisions and what has worked and not worked to date. We will spend most of our time on technical details of the different Microsoft applications we have used and what some of the successes and challenges have been.

Some of the key technology used in our digital transformation includes Cosmos DB, Dataverse, SQL, Logic Apps, Synapses, Dynamics 365, Access (yep, you read that right Microsoft Access), SharePoint, Starlink, Power BI, Azure VM, Web Applications and Machine Learning.

David has a 25-year track record of building and implementing successful innovative software products and projects across a number of different industries, (Healthcare, Sport and Recreation, Financial Technology, Telecommunication and Energy). He has a Master of Business Administration from Haskayne School of Business with a focus on Strategy and Innovation.

At Kobold, David is responsible for the implementation of digital technology to improve Kobold's products and services. Specifically, he is responsible for helping Kobold make better business decisions based on field data. He provides digital technology strategic direction to the leadership team, oversees the DevOps team and their delivery of applications, digital architecture, and support.
