Details

In this meetup you will have an opportunity to hear Zalando women talk about their career stories. Three women from different career stages (junior, mid-level, advanced) will share the challenges they faced and how they dealt with them, the struggles as well as the success stories.

Schedule:
18:00-18:30 Networking and snacks
18:30-20:00 Three talks of 15 minutes each + 15 minutes Q&A for each speaker
20:00-20:30 Additional networking, and a chance to meet Zalando recruiters who can answer your questions.

Our speakers will include Manjuri Sinha, Cari Davidson and Tea Kolevska. Our Moderator will be Cassandra Pope.

Manjuri leads the technology talent acquisition team for Zalando SE. She possesses international experience in Tech business Partnering and Talent Acquisition for mid to large organizations such as Accenture, and has worked and lived in India, Czech Republic and Germany. Being an avid traveler, she also wears a dual hat of a speaker, mentor and a blogger.

Cari began her career working in electronic warfare for the US Army in the late 1980s, and moved into software engineering in the 90s. Since then she's worked in start-ups and large companies, in fields as diverse as gaming, political action and e-commerce. She is now at Zalando in Berlin as an Engineering Lead, running the Tracking Team in Product Analytics.

Tea started her career with an internship at the Cloud Computing Lab at University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland where she was working on the development of a rating, charging and billing engine for cloud service providers. After that Tea worked as a software engineer at companies in Macedonia (her home country). Tea is now at Zalando for almost a year, working as a junior software engineer inside Pricing and Forecasting.

The event will provide snacks and drinks. The snacks will be vegetarian and the drinks will be non-alcoholic. Snacks will be provided by Jasmin Catering. Syrian owned Jasmin Catering is committed to helping society: firstly by employing middle-aged newcomer women who would otherwise struggle. Second, by giving all leftovers of food to those people who really need it.

Though we cannot provide child care, we welcome you to bring children along to the event. If you need special accommodation, such as ramps, hearing aid, sign language translation or anything similar, please contact us at least one week prior to the event so we can arrange the necessary details beforehand.

Contact Neta (neta.oren@zalando.de), Carmel (carmel.dolev@zalando.de) or Sarah (sarah.cordivano@zalando.de) for special accommodation.
