Wir treffen uns jeden ersten Donnerstag im Monat, um gemeinsam an Open-Source-Software zu arbeiten – konzentriert, pragmatisch, ohne großes Drumherum. Auf dem Tisch liegen unter anderem konkrete Projekte aus dem echten Einsatz: ein System zur Zugangskontrolle und Türsteuerung, ein Inventarverwaltungssystem sowie ein noch unfertiges Tool, das Wissen und Interessen in einer Community sichtbar macht – und auf Mitstreiter wartet. Beispiele für unsere eigenen Projekte findest Du unter https://github.com/zam-haus, das Meetup ist aber offen für alle Projekte.

Fragen sind willkommen, gemeinsam Neues lernen ausdrücklich erwünscht. Wir sind aber kein Programmierkurs – für Grundlagenvermittlung fehlen uns aktuell die Kapazitäten.

Wir starten mit Kurzvorträgen, arbeiten danach konzentriert und essen auch gemeinsam (Bestellung auf Selbstkostenbasis).

We meet every first Thursday of the month to work together on open-source software – focused, pragmatic, and without any fuss. There are a number of specific projects on the table that are already in use: an access control and door management system, an inventory management system, and a tool – still a work in progress – that brings knowledge and interests within a community to the fore – and is looking for people to join in. You can find examples of our own projects at https://github.com/zam-haus, but the meetup is open to all projects.

Questions are welcome, and we’d love for us to learn new things together. However, this isn’t a programming course – we don’t currently have the capacity to teach the basics.

We’ll start with short talks, then get down to work, and we’ll have a meal together (orders at cost price).
