
What we’re about
Zen Buddhist Temple is a community of Buddhist and meditation practitioners. Guided by Korean Zen tradition, we offer meditation services, classes, retreats as well as Buddhist studies and training. We're located in Chicago.
In this group we focus on the deep practice of meditation retreats. It is a period to free oneself from the concerns of daily life and absorb oneself completely in concentration. Our retreats provides a wonderful opportunity for discovering wisdom mind and developing a compassionate heart. Some of our retreats are instructional for those beginning a meditation practice, or for those wishing to refresh their practice after years of experience. Some of our other retreats are non-instructional, for experienced practitioners. Our retreats our open to all, regardless of religious affiliation or belief.

This 2-Day Meditation Retreat at Zen Buddhist Temple is a period to absorb oneself completely in concentration, and is a wonderful opportunity for discovering wisdom mind and developing a compassionate heart.
For registration, please visit our website event registration page here and select "Meditation Retreat per day" from the Chicago Temple program dropdown menu to make payment. The full retreat is 2 days. Minimum attendance is 1/2.
Retreat cost: $60 per day. Overnight accommodation and all meals provided.

*All meditation blocks include rounds of 30 minutes seated meditation, followed by 10 minute walking meditation.
