The mission of our Zen meditation center in San Diego is to support participants in practicing the path of awakening, in order to live more fully with kindness, compassion and appreciation.

ZCSD VIRTUAL NEWCOMER ORIENTATION

We are now able to offer an online Newcomer Orientation. Our orientation is usually attended by a mixture of people who are brand new to the practice of sitting in meditation, as well as more seasoned individuals who are interested in learning about this particular center's approach to practice. Thus, the orientation will include a mixture of introductory zazen (sitting meditation) instruction, as well as some meditations that are emphasized at ZCSD. Policies and procedure will also be briefly reviewed. The Newcomer Orientation will begin at 9:15 a.m. to approximately 10:20 a.m. the first Saturday of each month. At that time, you are encouraged to join in the remainder of the Center's Saturday morning schedule.
