Zen Tea Indoor | Healthy Diet for Body & Mind
Details
As the weather turns colder and rainier, let's slow down together with tea, honest conversation, and a closer look at what we put in our bodies and how it shapes our minds.
This session, I want to focus on a question people are often curious about (and sometimes skeptical of):
"On a vegan+ diet, how do you get enough protein?"
🍃 Tea Ceremony & Tea Tasting
Slow down, enjoy good tea, and create a calm space to connect with ourselves and each other.
🌱 Getting Enough Protein: The Foundation of Body & Mind
Over the past few years I've been learning and practicing vegan+ (vegan, no alcohol, no five pungent vegetables: garlic, onion, leek, chives, shallots). This time I want to share what I've learned in a practical way:
- Why what we eat shapes both mood and mental clarity
- Plant protein sources including legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds
- Protein complementation, and why you don't need to obsess over every meal, just get the full amino acid profile across the day
- How to make vegan+ food flavorful without garlic or onion
- A few quick, protein rich meal ideas
- Choosing good oils and eating in the right order, small details with real impact
Taking care of the body is a core part of Zen practice. The quality of our body shapes our energy, focus, and how we experience life.
