What we’re about
The intention of this group is to provide you with opportunities to practice meditation in a supportive group environment.
If you are an experienced, inexperienced or even a would-be meditator, you may benefit from the regime of at least weekly sitting with other meditators online. You may also benefit as well from the less regular in-person meditations, gatherings and retreats in Sydney and nearby.
The offering is based on Buddhist practices especially Zen and mindfulness.
A typical weekly zoom session starts at around 7:15pm and takes 60 minutes. It starts with a short inspirational discourse, followed by technique instruction and finishing with a long, mostly silent, meditation. Afterwards there is usually a short discussion. The session finishes before 9:00 pm.
The sessions are usually lead by Sajhu-Paul but others are invited to lead from time to time.
The group not a formal Zen religion and not linked to any other religion. It does not require you to dress in a certain way, engage in any cultish behaviors or pay any money.
Membership is free and open to all who find benefit from it.
