Vancouver Zig September Meetup

Now that summer is coming to an end we have some exciting things happening this month! DNEG, a local VFX company, is donating space for our meetup. It's in the Mount Pleasant area which has a number of great breweries we can go to after!

Using Zig in a Visual Effects Pipeline

Jim Price will be talking about his VFX work, in his words:
"We'll be focusing on how Zig's tight interop with C makes in easy to experiment with different solutions to the various data and performance challenges that arise in VFX."

Golden Boy

Andrew Kelley (the dude that started Zig) will be attending the meetup before he's off to Europe for a talk in Copenhagen and SYCL (Software You Can Love). Then we'll finally be official and we can dunk on the other Zig meetups.

Notes for Arrival:

- Security will buzz people in the front door
- DNEG requires guests to sign an NDA, this is just an agreement that you won't speak about any proprietary content outside the theatre if you happen to see anything.
- If you are driving security will give you a parking pass
- We'll hang out in the lobby as we wait for people to show up
- Once most people are here we can enter the theatre
- Security will help anyone running behind
