Would you like to connect with others interested in ABSTRACT ART? Actual ABSTRACT ARTISTS, folks who like abstract art, or folks who want to learn to paint or ?? abstract.
We could PAINT TOGETHER (zoom or in person), share our work, give and get feedback, get ideas when we're stuck. I really like painting together: via zoom or in person, taking turns sharing feedback and suggestions. I have plenty of paint and tools I could share. (No oil-based paint, no unhealthy vapors)
Could VIEW ART TOGETHER online or in person: visiting a gallery or show – or viewing and discussing someone’s sharing a group member’s work. I’ll soon be able to have Art Parties, showing 15 – 20 of my large paintings with food, beverages and non-intrusive music.
TEACHERS could be jointly paid by participants for qualityfeedback. I’ve enjoyed a number of Torpedo Factory and ‘Glen Echo abstract classes, but I usually got most of the benefit from other students.
BEGINNERS could get help and advice. And use my supplies to avoid a big start-up investment. There are lots of ways to comfortably facilitate a beginner doing the next thing to their canvas, including step-by-step teaching videos online. An affordable teacher, or non-paid me could guide and suggest. I especially like getting inspiration from Youtube videos where an artist shares each brush stroke they took on the way to a finished painting.
