Point to Point hike - Myths tour from Mostelberg to Rotenflue

Details: Point to point hike from Mostelberg to Rotenflue

Difficulty: Intermediate (SAC grading: T2)

Meeting point and time: Zug train station at 8:15 in the middle area. We take the 8:30 train to Arth-Goldau and then at 8:54 train to Sattel (travel time: 34 minutes). From Sattel we take the cable car up to Mostelberg.

Coming back: From Rotenflue we take the cable car down to Rickenbach (last cable car: 17:30) and from there train back to Zug through Schwyz. (travel time ~ 50 minutes - 1 hour)

Duration: Estimated 3.5 hours for hike

Profile: 9.44km, 650m up, 280m down.

Pace: Moderate, there willl be some steep ascends.

Lunch: Bring your own food and drinks. There are several restaurants on the way, we can stop there to eat as well.

Recommended gear:

• Hiking shoes/boots
• Warm layers as the weather requires
• Enough water & food
• Bandage for blisters & first aid kit
• Sunscreen
• Optional: binocular, hiking poles

Weather: We only leave if the weather is nice, I reserve the right to postpone the hike if the weather forecast predicts rain/storm for that day.
