⛰️ Rigi Kulm 🌕 Full Moon Night Hike

Details
Long time no see! :) Let’s enjoy a hike up to Rigi Kulm under the full moon with amazing views over the illuminated cityscapes around Vierwaldstättersee (Lake Lucerne) and Zugersee (Lake Zug).
We start from Seebodenalp, which at that time can only be reached by car (or hiking, of course). We will likely be able to organize for car pools or pick-ups from Rotkreuz or Zug train stations in case you come by public transport.
Having reached Rigi Kulm we are going to have a short break for your hot tea and snack and from there continue the hike to Chänzeli view point and back to Seebodenalp, constantly accompanied by gorgeous views. We should be back at our cars by 11 pm.
The scheduled hike has the following profile:
Length: 12 km
Up/down: 840 m
Pace: Moderate
Difficulty: T3ish
Technically this hike is not really challenging, but as we are going to hike in the dark, you need to watch your step.
BRING A HEADLAMP!
The moon might be bright but you surely want to bring a headlamp to see where you are going.
Other than that, proper footwear is mandatory, as trails might become snowy the days before.
Temperatures are likely going to drop below 0 degrees Celsius so packing warm layers is a good idea.
You need to be surefooted and reasonably fit. This hike is originally published in Edelweiss Hikers group.
If you’d like to join please answer the question about how you are planning to arrive and in case you come by car whether you are able to provide a ride for other joiners.
Looking forward to this experience!
