We’ll review some major blockchain projects, their components, how they work and how they can be used for solving real world problems with comparison to existing solutions. We’ll also review the security guarantees as well as usability constraints that they have.

## About the speaker
Bozhidar Bozhanov is a software engineer and architect with more than 10 years of experience in international companies. He has worked on various projects in the fields of telecommunications, navigation systems and e-government. Bozhidar has been a speaker at numerous conferences and is among the popular bloggers and influencers in the technical field. As a participant in the Foundation, together with other experts from the IT sector, he has developed projects that will facilitate the communication between the government and the citizens. Bozhidar then served as an e-Government adviser at the Council of Ministers, where he participated in the drafting and implementation of legislative and strategic changes to ensure the successful implementation of eGovernment, incl. the electronic ID card, the requirement for open source of the state IT systems and the publishing of open administrative data. He is currently CEO at LogSentinel, an innovative information security company that makes use of blockchain to protect data integrity.
