Hike Weg der Schweiz stage 3 (Fluelen - Sisikon section)

Join me on this explorative hike of the stage 3 of the Swiss Path (one section of the historic Weg Der Schweiz).

This is a 7km long medium hike from Fluelen to Sisikon.

The plan is to take it easy enjoying the beautiful views of the lake on a sunny day and have lunch at one of the picnic spots (bring your packed lunch). We also have the option of stopping for a coffee break at a restaurant along the way.

The hike is expected to take 2 hours 15 mins, plus additional time for lunch and breaks.

This hike is rated as easy to medium (depending on sources). It is the first time I do it myself so I cannot provide personal experience, please read the info in the link to decide if this is for you:

Travel out (double check platform on SBB app on the day on case of changes):
10:05 Zürich HB - platform 7 (IR 46 2417, towards: Locarno)
to 11:14 Flüelen
We meet on the train (will communicate carriage on whatsapp & meetup on the day)

Travel back - we will catch the train back to Zurich from Sisikon.
This is a potential candidate:
16:14 Sisikon -> Zürich HB (change in Zug) arrives at Zurich HB at 17:25

What to wear/bring:

• hiking shoes
• water
• packed lunch or preferred snacks as required
• layered clothes including a light wind breaker
• suncream & sunglasses
• mask for the train journey.
