What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to raise awareness about "Decentralized Autonomous Organizations", a fancy name to mean "an organization running partially on-chain". The main benefits brought by blockchain being: unstoppable, censorship resistant, always available, pseudo anonymous, auto-executes actions such as distributing funds, and more.
We will learn and debate about alternative types of organizational structures, lessons learnt by real-life experiences in DAOs & how all this can fit together to allow us to function better as a society. Switzerland is the only direct democracy in the world, it is in a unique position to help that change happen.
Anyone interested in the topic of decentralized organization should join. Whether you're part of a coop, an artist collective, an activist, team member of a flat-hierarchy team, or just a curious mind, you are welcome.
In our events, we'll have round tables, talks, fish bowls, workshops and more.
The meetups are usually free, hence sponsored by 1 or 2 companies to provide for event space, organizational effort compensation, travel expenses, refreshments, snacks, etc.
