Hut-to-hut High Alpine Tour (T4)
Details
The idea is a 3-days-2-nights hiking tour from hut to hut, mostly on T3-class mountain hiking routes (white-red-white) but with one critical T4-section (white-blue-white).
Overnight stays are foreseen at two SAC huts along the way.
NOTE:
95% of the tour is T3, but the «Fründenschnur» is classified as T4.
Local SAC staff recommend to use a Klettersteig-Set / Via-Ferrata-Gear.

REQUIREMENTS & RSVP:
- You need to be an experienced mountain hiker, having done a T4 (or K1) before
- You must have hiked with me before
- Sign-in onto the waitlist, send me a PM (phone number), then we talk

EQUIPMENT:
- Entirely your own responsibility
- Mandatory: The SAC huts require to bring a «Hüttenschlafsack»
- Mandatory: Klettersteig- / Via-Ferrata-Gear (body-gear, hook-set mandatory; helmet is optional)

DAY 1 – Monday 13 July:
- 08:15h: Meet under the «Blue Angel»
- 08:32h: IC1 train to Bern, there change for Kandersteg
- Cablecar up to Oeschinensee
- Hike up to Fründenhütte SAC via Fründenschnur
- 5 hrs, 9km, 1'300m up, T3 and T4
- The Fründenschnur requires Klettersteig-Gear!

FRÜNDENSCHNUR:

This section is T4 and we pass it on day 1 and on day 2

At present the Fründenschnur T4-route is the only access to the Fründenhütte SAC. The normal T3-route is closed due to the risk of landslides/rocks breaking off.

Now being the only access route, the path and security wires along the Fründenschnur are currently (June) being refurbished.
