Davoser Alpenweg - [21 km / +1000m -1090m / 6.5 hrs / T3]

Join me for a spectacular route high above the Alpine town of Davos. Climbing up to the Schatzalp, inspiration for Thomas Mann's "The Magic Mountain", we will spend the day passing through rustic farmland with far-reaching views over the Bündner Alpen, enjoying nature, good conversation and (hopefully) plenty of sunshine.

• 1000m up, 1090m down

• ca. 6h plus breaks

GETTING THERE:

• 08:25 Meet under the Blue Angel at HB and go to the train platform
• 08:38 IC3 direction Chur, pl. 5, arriving Landquart 09:41
• 09:49 RE24 to Davos Dorf, arriving 10:57

GETTING BACK:

• Hourly connections from Davos Glaris at xx:20 or xx:39
• Expected arrival back in Zürich ca. 21:00

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
What you need to bring:

• good walking / trail running shoes -- there may still be some snow
• optional swimsuit (you never know!)
• some layers
• sun protection
• rain protection
• trekking poles
• snacks
• 2+ litres of water, picnic lunch, snacks, enough for a whole day
