Via ferrata Kandersteg - Allmenalp K4+ (difficult, exposed)

Planning to do the K4+ Allmenalp via ferrata near Kandersteg this Whit Monday.
Experienced via Ferrata climbers are welcome to join :-)

This Via ferrata is a K4+ and is for experienced Ferrata climbers, comfortable with heights and good stamina. It is a direct route up a 350m high wall, with lots of exposure, iron pegs, cable bridges and traverses over a waterfall.

Climbing time: ca. 3 hrs
excluding eating break, approach and descent.

The plan is to go back down with the cable car (CHF 18) after a stop at the resturant at the end of our climb; nonetheless bring enough snacks to fulfil your needs during the 3 hour climb.

Please familiarise yourself with all the info provided in the official website. This is not a guided tour. As an experienced climber, you are expected to do your own personal risk assessment.

### Getting there
We meet on the train in Zurich or at Kandersteg station at 10:40
I will create a whatsapp group to facilitate communication; I may miss messages from Meetup.

Train connections from Zurich:
08:32 - 09:28 Zurich HB - Bern
09:39 - 10:40 Bern - Kandersteg
Kandersteg - Allmenalp talstation: 20 mins walk

Return to Zurich (depending on finish time)

### What to bring
You are experienced so you should know what you need. ;-)
Here is a quick checklist to avoid forgetting things:

• via ferrata gear (helmet, harness, ferrata set)
• proper mountain footwear
• layered clothing
• enough water and snacks for the day
• sunscreen and protection
• good vibes :)

In case of weather forecast changes, the event may be cancelled.

Attention: note that this is not a guided tour, I'm not a mountain guide.
I am simply looking for people with similar interests and experience in the mentioned activity.
