Federispitz Hike (T3, 17 km, +1'068/-1'556 m)
Details
🏞️ Hike Summary
The Federispitz offers surprisingly wide views despite being less famous than its neighbor, the Speer. Starting in Amden, we ascend through meadows and forest to Durschlegi, a scenic paragliding spot above the Walensee. The route continues past open pastures and the Alp Oberfidersche before a steep final climb to the summit, where expansive views stretch from Zürichsee to Lake Constance. The descent follows a rugged ridge via Plättlispitz to Schänis, including a scenic gorge crossing thanks to a new bridge. This is a solid T3-level hike with varied terrain and rewarding panoramas.
