Friday is the annual Küssnacht Klausjagen. Let's Go!

https://www.klausjagen.ch/

"Hardly anything is as important in Küssnacht as the annual Klausjagen. At precisely 8:15 p.m. on December 5th, the tremendous bang of a cannon shot ends the conversations of the waiting Klausjagen hunters. The lights go out, and a cheer erupts. Up to 30,000 spectators wait along the darkened streets for the procession, which, right after the whip crackers, offers them one of the highlights: the Iffele, well over 200 and up to 2.5 meters tall, with their artfully carved figures and ornaments, which repeatedly elicit spontaneous applause. Next comes Samichlaus, accompanied by his Schmutzli and illuminated by torchbearers, followed by the music with its eerily beautiful three-note chord and around a thousand bell ringers. The mystical procession concludes with the horns and their unchanging, uncanny call Over 1500 men participate each year in the traditional Küssnacht Klausumzug, probably the most impressive and famous of its kind."

We will go and enjoy the celebration, wrap up warm!
