Let's hike from Steckborn to Stein am Rhein! We'll partially follow the Via Rhenana (https://schweizmobil.ch/en/hiking-in-switzerland/route-60/stage-2). However, be aware that we'll make a detour to add some distance and height meters. Stein am Rhein is famous for its beautiful old town. And Sunday is the last day the Christmas Market is open (https://www.maerlistadt.ch/). So bring your Christmas cup along for the Glühwein!

MEETING:
Meeting point is in Zurich main station under the blue angel at 8.50 am. Be aware that I will join you in Winterthur. I'll meet you in the first coach of second class in direction of travel.

  • Departure from Zurich main station: 9.04 am (track 34, IC81 towards Romanshorn)
  • Arrival in Frauenfeld: 9.42 am
  • Departure from Frauenfeld: 9.45 am (bus nr. 826)
  • Arrival in Steckborn, Bahnhof: 10.14 am

WAY BACK:
There are five connections per hour from Stein am Rhein to Zurich.
