Welcome to Zürich New In Town Social!
This is a group for people who would like to find new relationships and make new
friends in one of the most vibrant cities!
Zurich is a glorious city but it is notoriously difficult to make friends in. Everyone else seems to be super busy and no one seems to invest time and effort in finding like-minded people and arrange social events with them. It is time to change this. Let us get together and create a social community where we can meet and make friends without pressure and undue ceremony. Let us get together for drinks and dinners, music and dance, walks and day trips, holidays and festivals. This is a group for singles and couples of all ages, colors, races, religions and everyone is welcome. All you want to do is to make friends in this glorious city!

Here you can see everyone from different cultures and races meeting and having a great time and this is what we tend to achieve everytime we host!
Here is how we will do things differently -
Ever since covid has occurred the world has changed ways in how we function and operate. Meeting people of various cultures has become difficult with various restrictions and with online events people rarely have the opportunity of meeting face to face and this results in not getting the right opportunity to meet in person.
We will always have hosts at all our events. You will always be greeted by someone
at all our events and introduced to others. (Warm & welcoming hosts to help you
mingle!)

We will minimize no shows by requiring attendees to pay a deposit in advance. No
shows are misleading and not fun for organizers nor for members.
We will not disguise organization costs in opaque ticket prices, commissions from
bars or inflated set menu prices.
We will instead ask for a small charge to help us manage the group and its activities. (Very transparent)
We will strive to attract a high quality membership who prefer higher quality
venues and events. We will not be driven by happy hours, free food etc (as all
of these are eventually balanced out by much higher prices later)
We will constantly request members to help us host events and take a lead on
activities so that we have energy and variety.

Join us for our Fast Friending evening, where like-minded ladies and gents come together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere to build new connections. Whether you're eager to meet new people, make friends, or simply enjoy a lively evening, this event is perfect for you!
You will need to buy a ticket for attending -

Early bird - CHF 10
Regular ticket - CHF 15
Cash at the meetup - If you have not purchased your ticket in advance then you can pay CHF 20 per person in cash on the day of the meetup to Neo (Please bring exact change)'Fast friending' is our fun and quick way to help you make new connections quickly with both ladies and gentlemen. These are people in the age group of 25 and 45 and so you will be on a similar wavelength. Naturally you can always choose who to speak with based on your preference!
Here’s how our Fast Friending works:-
- We will meet at 7.00 and have time to get settle down and get a drink.- From about 7.30 to 8.30 we will run the fast friending system. Half of the group (mixed gender) will stay in a fixed place and the other half of the group (mixed gender) will be asked to rotate. During these intervals, each pair of people will get the opportunity to talk to each other.
- Neo will be hosting the evening and she will organize the fast friending process. She will indicate when you should move to the next person.
- From 8.30 onwards we will stop the system and people will have to chance go chat and interact with those they have met as well as others.
If you are a bit shy or anxious then please come early. Neo will help you meet other members in a small group and help you settle down and get comfortable.
Our venue for the evening - Amboss Rampe is spacious, has comfortable seating and not very noisy. We have a reserved area where our members can meet each other in a supportive environment.
- We are not a close knit tight group. Our evenings are warm and comfortable for members attending for the first time and those coming alone. You will not feel alone!
- We have many groups in this city. Members of our other groups who RSVP are included as guests of the organisers in order to give you an indication of expected people.
- This evening is for ladies and gents in the 25 to 40 age group.
- Our evenings are not about 'dating' or for 'romantic' connections. 'Fast friending' is NOT 'Speed dating'. 'Fast friending' is designed to help members meet other like minded ladies and gents. It is about new friendships and connections. Naturally, new friendships can lead to dating or romantic connections, but that is not our focus.
Why do we have tickets?
- Cover our costs - Our host is compensated for their time and work. We also pay meetup and have dedicated staff to manage our events, hosts, venues and communication.
- Group Safety - By securing your ticket we have a record and you contribute to a well organized evening where everyone is more committed and better behaved.
- Management - Tickets help us better manage attendee group size, book suitable space and activity.
