My Dears,
We are all aiming at, and doing our best, to stay in good health or improve our health.
But, did you ever think of this?
You can eat a healthy diet, take supplements, track your sleep, exercise regularly, and so on…. but if you don`t work on your mental health, you still won`t be able to achieve optimal health!
Here is a little science story for you.
Read it carefully and then act wisely.
Meditation may have profound effects on the body’s nervous system. When you are relaxed and feeling positive emotions your body shifts into a parasympathetic state which allows your nervous system to rest and regenerate!
When the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) is activated, it slows our heart and breathing rates, lowers blood pressure and promotes digestion. Our body enters a state of relaxation, and this relaxation leads to recovery, which can further lead to lower inflammation levels in the body.
On a day-to-day basis many of us are stuck in a sympathetic state or a state of stress also known as “fight or flight”. Therefore, we need to put our bodies into a more restful and relaxed state daily!!!
Luckily nowadays, tools for this are known! Meditation practice is a catalyst into this state!
Also, meditation is a powerful brain boosting tool! You could almost call it a miraculous tool.
Next to all these health benefits, meditation has also proved to improve psychological health, which also makes you ready to manage your daily stress-situations and problems (because regular meditation practice also improves empathy, decision-making and self-control).
If you summarize all these science findings, I think there is nothing else left to say than: Making time for self-care is no joke!
One of the key points in obtaining all these benefits of meditations is the regularity and repeatability of the meditation practice, because brain is like a muscle and needs to be trained, only then all of the above benefits can happen: structural changes as well as our habits’ changes, which then leads to improvements of our mental and overall health, of your well-being, of your life!
I am looking forward to seeing you in my courses.
