Traditions - Study and practice of different grooves and rhythms of the Baterias of Rio de Janeiro.

Techniques - Exercises focusing on the manipulation and execution of rhythms, aiming for good tone production, precision and the correct ‘swing’ on each instrument.

Tuning - Study of the different tunings of the drums and how to tune each instrument.

Paradinhas and Bossas - The practice of some common traditional and current rhythmic breaks performed by samba schools in Rio de Janeiro.

Samba Schools Include - Unidos do Viradouro, Estácio de Sá, Acadêmicos do Salgueiro, Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel and Estação Primeira de Mangueira.
