Movie Night: The Running Man (2025)

In a dystopian, near-future America, the ultimate source of entertainment is The Running Man, a globally broadcast survival game where unjustly convicted criminals, known as "Runners," must survive 30 days while they are hunted down by armed, celebrity "Stalkers" for the amusement of a desperate, captivated nation. When former military pilot Ben Richards (Glenn Powell) is forced into the game as the latest Runner, his fight becomes more than just a struggle for survival; it is a desperate attempt to expose the corruption and lies underpinning the entire authoritarian regime that orchestrated the spectacle.

Based on Stephen King's novel of the same name (published under the pen name Richard Bachman), The Running Man is a violent and funny satire on mass media and totalitarianism. Directed by Edgar Wright (Shawn of the Dead, Ant-Man, Baby Driver).
