Movie Night: Twelve Monkeys (1995)

In a bleak future where a deadly virus has wiped out most of humanity, James Cole (Bruce Willis) is a convict living in the subterranean ruins of Philadelphia. He is offered a chance at a pardon if he agrees to travel back in time to 1996. His mission: gather information about the Army of the Twelve Monkeys, the mysterious clandestine group believed to be responsible for the outbreak. However, the journey through time is imprecise, landing him in a mental institution years before the catastrophe, where his warnings of the future are dismissed as madness.
