Dear Expats,
The weather gods are getting into the Christmas spirit: according to the latest forecast there’s a good chance of snow in Schwerzenbach/Zürich on Saturday – perfect for a cozy Swiss winter day!
Program:
🕑 14:00 – 16:00 Stammtisch / Meetup Table & Lunch Gasthaus Schwanen Greifenseestrasse 2, 8603 Schwerzenbach (12 min by train from Zürich Stadelhofen)
Reserved table from 14:00–16:00. Come whenever you like, order from the hearty Swiss menu (Rösti, Cordon Bleu, soups, veggie options…).
Discussion topics at the table (in English):

  • Switzerland in the EU – yes or no? What would be the real consequences in daily life?
  • After 30+ years working in Switzerland: stay here for retirement and take the Swiss pension (AHV/2nd pillar), or move back home? Pros, cons, taxes, healthcare, family – let’s share real experiences!

🕔 16:30 – 19:00 Christmas Market at Bellevue – Wienachtsdorf We take the train together to Stadelhofen and walk/tram to Bellevue (3–5 min).

Stroll through the twinkling village by the lake, hot chocolate (mit oder ohne Schuss), Glühwein, raclette, and snowy Christmas vibes. We’ll wrap up around 19:00.
Transport: Schwerzenbach is in ZVV zone 110 – your normal Zürich ticket or day pass covers it.
Dress warm – snow is in the air! ❄️⛄
