Beginners' course - your ideal introduction to the world of drums and rhythms!
In this course you learn the basics and technique of African drumming in a playful yet structured way. Based on the (West) African drumming culture, you get to play different rhythms and patterns on the African djembés and doundouns (bass drums and bells). We practice playing in a percussion ensemble and elaborate small, adapted arrangements. We also enjoy groovy body percussion (“drumming on or with your body”) to feel the rhythm in and on ourselves and is a lot of fun!
